ONE/Northwest believes that communication technologies are vastly underutilized tools of social change. Innovative communication is critical to unlocking huge improvements in the way both individual environmental organizations and the broader environmental movement engage people in protecting the environment. This civic engagement work is the heart of what these organizations do and how they shape society.

ONE/Northwest uses support from individuals and foundations to catalyze innovation. We adapt existing commercial and open-source technologies, weaving them together into whole new possibilities for engaging people. We couple our investments in social change innovation with an extremely efficient consulting practice that we use to disseminate these new approaches throughout the environmental community.

We also work actively to cultivate and train private sector consultants on our processes as a way of accelerating the dissemination of these new tools. We place a high priority on transferring knowledge to our clients through our extensive website and ONEList, our monthly online newsletter.
